Stephanie Gehling

Stephanie Gehling is a Patent Agent at Shay Glenn LLP where she focuses on patent prosecution, patent application drafting, and assisting with IP due diligence investigations including freedom to operate and invalidity analyses. Stephanie has relevant patent experience in medical devices, drug delivery mechanisms, computer networks, and data management systems.
Prior to joining Shay Glenn LLP, Stephanie was a patent agent at Carr & Ferrell LLP, where she focused on patent prosecution and developing patent portfolio strategy. Before entering the legal profession, Stephanie held positions in both research and manufacturing at Cognate Bioservices, Inc., Arizona State University Department of Bioengineering, Arizona State Department of Agriculture, Dial Corporation and Morton Grove Pharmaceuticals, Inc.
Stephanie received a B.S. in Chemistry with an emphasis on organic and analytical chemistry and a minor in Biology from Northeastern Illinois University. She also received a M.S. in Bioengineering with an emphasis in cellular engineering and materials science from Arizona State University. Stephanie is a member of the American Chemical Society and serves on the Santa Clara Valley Executive Committee as an Alternate Councilor. In 2010, she was awarded the Ottenberg Award for her service to the Santa Clara Valley Section.
Stephanie is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
